Alejandra Espinosa Miss Canada Latina 2023
My name is Alejandra Espinosa Herrera, and I am 23 years old. I was born in Bogota, Colombia, and I moved to Canada when I was 14 years old. Currently, I work as a CEO assistant and a Health and Safety Representative in a local company. Additionally, I am employed at a well-known gym in the fitness industry. In my free time, I volunteer at local animal shelters.
I participated in the Canada Latina Pageants with the hope of using my title as Miss Canada Latina 2023 to promote unity and support within our Latin community, especially for Latin women who are far from home. As immigrants, we face significant challenges, and it is crucial for us to stand together and support one another.
Furthermore, as an animal lover, I am passionate about raising awareness of the urgent need for help in local shelters. With the rising cost of living, more people are surrendering their animals or abandoning them on the streets. This puts a strain on shelters, as they have to accommodate more animals with limited resources. Since animal shelters are not government-funded, they rely on volunteers and donations. While I cannot save them all by myself, I can contribute by supporting organizations that work towards this cause.
I encourage our community to lend a helping hand, whether it is by assisting our neighbors or volunteering for organizations that resonate with us.
With Love,
Your Miss Canada Latina 2023-2024
